Usando Dischi GNOME

Rischi di sovrascrivere qualunque disco rigido connesso al computer.

Se in qualche passaggio non sei sicura di quale dispositivo scegliere, interrompi la procedura.

  1. Installa Dischi GNOME.

    • If you are using the GNOME desktop environment, GNOME Disks should be installed by default.

    • Otherwise, install the gnome-disk-utility package using the usual installation method for your distribution.

      You can also install Tails using the dd command from any Linux distribution as described in our instructions for installing from Debian using the command line.

  2. Assicurati che la chiavetta USB che vuoi resettare sia disinserita.

  3. Open GNOME Disks (also called Disks).

    For example, you can press the Super () key, then enter disks and select Disks.

    The storage devices in the computer are listed in the left pane.

  4. Collega la chiavetta USB da resettare.

    A new device appears in the list of storage devices. Select it.

  5. Nel pannello destro della finestra, verifica che il dispositivo corrisponda alla chiavetta USB che vuoi inizializzare, la sua marca, la sua dimensione, ecc.

  6. To reset the USB stick, click on the Drive Options button in the title bar and choose Format Disk to erase all the existing partitions on the device.

  7. Nella finestra di dialogo Formatta disco:

    • Se desideri sovrascrivere tutti i dati sul dispositivo, scegli Sovrascrivi i dati esistenti con zeri nel menu Cancella.

      Sovrascrivere sui dati esistenti non cancella tutti i dati della memoria flash. come le chiavette USB e SSDs (Solid-State Drives).

    • Scegli Compatibile con tutti i sistemi e dispositivi (MBR/DOS) nel menu Partizionamento.

  8. Clicca Formatta.

  9. Nella schermata di conferma, clicca su Formattaper confermare.

  10. To make sure that all the changes are written to the USB stick, select the Power Off this Disk nella barra del titolo

Ripristinare una chiavetta USB Tails dalla stessa

Se Tails è il tuo unico sistema Linux, puoi in genere inizializzare una chiavetta USB Tails direttamente dalla chiavetta stessa, mentre Tails è in esecuzione.

  1. Quando avvii Tails, aggiungi l'opzione di avvio toram nel Boot Loader.

  2. If Tails starts as usual, follow the instructions to reset a USB stick using GNOME Disks for Linux.

    Se il sistema non si avvia, ciò significa che il computer non ha memoria sufficiente per operare in questa modalità. Prova con un altro computer, o trova un altro sistema Linux, come un'altra chiavetta USB Tails, da cui eseguire l'inizializzazione.
